Instructor: Heather O’Hare
For young artists 5-8 years old

Learn, explore and invent Sweet Delicacy Art! Children will create artwork inspired by bakery treats using various art techniques and materials.

We will design 3D clay sculptures, explore paper mache, draw and paint colorful illustrations and narrate new recipes. We will spend time outside, exploring the walking trails and using natural materials to make imaginative sweets.

Children will go on a walking field trip to tour Red Hen Bakery! We will take a tour, observe and learn where and how their amazing edible creations are made. We will then have a special creemee!

Tuition assistance is available to help make this programming available to all. For more information or to request assistance, please write to us at hello@planetaryartinstitute.org.

About the Artist-Teacher

Welcome Artists! My name is Heather O’Hare and I am grateful to be an Art teacher in our amazing community for the past 18 years. I am thrilled to work with young artists at Camp Meade this summer!

I believe that through the process of creating art, children experience creative thinking, problem solving and development of their inner artist. Children can express their imaginations, solve challenging problems and find inspiration while learning about far away places and our natural surroundings here in Vermont!

I live in Waterbury with my two children and my 11 ½ year old “puppy”. We love to spend time with family and friends, travel, bike, hike, ski and make art.
