Cosmo Creation: Art with Nature Materials

Kindergarten - 6th Grade

Make art with natural materials and create a mixed media piece that integrates nature themes with everyday life. How do we bridge the gap between cars and trees? How and where do we meet? We will look at Aboriginal artwork for inspiration.

Class Requirements

  • If your child receives 1:1 support at school, we ask that they also have a 1:1 aide while attending ONE Arts Studio programs. This helps us make sure your child feels supported, safe, and able to fully enjoy their creative experience. If your child has an IEP or usually works with an aide during the school day, please reach out to us so we can talk through the best way to support them in our programs. Please email fionas@oneartsvt.org to set up a meeting. 

  • Please provide a snack, lunch and water bottle for your child.

  • Weather depending ensure that your child arrives with appropriate rain gear. A spare set of clothes is recommended. 

Sample Class Format

  • 8:00-8:30am - Morning drop off. There will be a variety of activities available during this time such as drawing, coloring, cardboard weaving, blocks and sewing.

  • 9:00-10:30 -Learning names and a little bit about each other. Begin first art project.

  • 10:30-11:30 - Snack and outside play time

  • 11:30-12:30 - Continue with art project and begin new art project

  • 12:30-1:30 - Lunch and outside play time.

  • 1:30-3:00 - Art project and clean up

  • 3:00-3:30 - Parent Pick up 

  • Please note that art activities and outside time varies greatly depending on project run times, student  engagement and weather.

Other Things To Know

Camp Cancellation Policy

In order to recieve an 80% discount you must cancel at least three weeks before the camp start date.  20% of the total price of camp will count towards a nonrefundable fee.
